Virtual Reality Glasses Experience for Writing

Elementary bannerOn Wednesday, February 13, Mr. McMahon's sixth grade ELA classes were able to experience the district's virtual reality glasses. Mr. McMahon wanted to reveal to the students what their overall topic for debate/argument would be over. They would be arguing which destination would be the best to travel to. From this thought, students were able to use the VR glasses and explore many locations. While exploring, they were to begin to record some of their research, writing down reasons the location might be sought after to visit.

Mr. McMahon also explained that the virtual reality glasses were merely one of many ways to research and record information and findings to help write a paper. With that said, if any community member has traveled somewhere amazing and would like to share their testimony so that any student selecting the same destination can use the expertise as part of their research, please email Mr. McMahon at [email protected].

Huge thanks to Angela Maciel, the district's technology integration specialist for the support and expertise.
