“We Love You Jays!!!” could be heard extra loud on February 7th during the West Platte Blue Jays Friday night basketball games against the East Buchanan Bull-Dogs. The West Platte Varsity Cheerleaders were joined on Friday night by 25 Little Jays from the elementary school who had attended practice at a mini-clinic earlier that week. The Little Jays were able to learn new cheers, stunts and a dance to perform at halftime of the girls' varsity basketball game. These amazing youngsters showed up well-prepared for their Valentine themed routine. Each of the participants were dressed in reds, pinks, hearts and even a Valentine headband that sparkled almost as much as their smiles.The awesome amount of enthusiasm and excitement these Little Jays displayed had all the fans standing proudly on their feet!!!
