On Saturday, April 7th, five West Platte teams competed at the state of Missouri Destination Imagination Affiliate Finals, at Missouri Southern State University, in Joplin, Missouri. Each West Platte team presented a unique solution to their chosen challenge, and all West Platte teams finished in the top three of the respective grade levels of their challenge. The middle level team, The Serendipitous Seven, won a Spirit of Discovery and Imagination Award for their anti-bullying story "that spoke to the power of music and art to bring people together." This was the 9th year of DI competition for high school seniors Andy Cicha and Colby Regnier; and the 10th year for Dylan Lock and Ciara Davies. Ciara Davies was awarded a $500 Missouri Creative Adventures scholarship. Congratulations to Ciara and all of our West Platte State of Missouri DI award winners!
