Sixth Grade Visited Arrowhead Stadium on Friday

The sixth grade had a wonderful opportunity to take a field trip on Friday, May 4th to Arrowhead Stadium. The students were able to tour the stadium, they had a chance to go through the team locker room and walk down the player's tunnel which lead them down onto the field.

The students also observed pieces of local art that the stadium has on display and they were able to explore the Chiefs Educational Sports Lab. All these amazing activities took place after the students had a chance to eat their lunch outside the Founder's Club during the beautiful spring day.

The sixth graders also had a special treat at the beginning of their tour because Mr. Brandon Hamilton who is the father to one of our current sixth graders, Luke Hamilton, and who just happens to be a 1990 West Platte alumni classmate to Ms. P; joined the group and discussed his role as Vice President of Operations for the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a very exciting and informative field trip. The sixth graders had a wonderful time and really enjoyed listening to Mr. Hamilton and the other tour guides at Arrowhead.

Mrs. Frost, Mr. McMahon, Ms. P and all the chaperones want to thank the Kansas City Chiefs for providing our sixth graders with such an awesome experience!
